NFL Odds: Washington Redskins Acquire No. 2 pick Robert Griffin III

The deal can't become official until Tuesday afternoon when the new league year begins, but media reports say the deal has been agreed upon. ESPN reports the Rams would get three first-round draft picks and a second-round selection. The Rams would receive Washington's No. 6 overall pick as well as first-rounders in 2013 and 2014. St. Louis would also obtain Washington's second-round pick this year.
It's widely speculated that the Indianapolis Colts will take Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck with the No. 1 overall pick, and the second selection by Washington will most likely be Baylor QB Robert Griffin III.
The move was reportedly made by Washington because Peyton Manning, who was released by the Colts earlier this week, doesn't want to play for the Redskins.
The Redskins muddled through the 2011 season with Rex Grossman and John Beck seeing action under center. Grossman threw for 3,151 yards and 16 touchdowns in 13 games. Beck completed 60.6 percent of his passes for 858 yards and two scores, but Washington averaged 18 points a game, seventh-worst in the NFL.
Griffin, the 2011 Heisman Trophy winner, passed for 4,293 yards and 37 touchdowns against just six interceptions this past season. He also rushed for 699 yards and 10 scores.
The Rams likely traded the pick because they are committed to Sam Bradford as their starting QB as the Oklahoma product enters his third NFL season.Bet on the NFL Super Bowl Odds at Bovada Sportsbook.
