It's come to this for Tiger Woods: Not only has he dropped out of the Top 50 in the official World Golf Ranking, but he's also making an appearance this week at the Frys.com Open at CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, California.
Woods, now at No. 51 in the rankings, is the 7/1 favorite on the golf betting board at the Bodog Sportsbook to get the win this weekend over a field that is not exactly chock full of top-tier players.
Kevin Na, Paul Casey, and Spencer Levin are next at 25/1 odds to take the trophy in the Frys.com Open this week, with Ernie Els and Louis Oosthuizen both at 28/1 odds. Ben Crane, Brandt Jobe, Bryce Molder, and Chad Campbell are then listed at 33/1 odds to win.
Rocco Mediate won this tournament last season, but he's well back at 125/1 on the golf odds at the Bodog Sportsbook to turn that trick again this week. Alex Prugh, who was one shot back of Mediate in second place in 2010, is at 80/1 odds to win this week's event.
And if you're looking for a couple extra opportunities to bet on Tiger Woods this week, you can also take him as the 12/1 favorite to hold the lead after the first round of this tournament and at -140 to end up in the Top 10 of the event. Finishing 11th or worse pays off at +110.
Na and Levin sit at 28/1 odds to be in first place after the first round at CordeValle this week, with Casey, Campbell, and Oosthuizen all at 33/1 odds on that golf betting prop.
As well, Na has +240 odds to end up in the Top 10, with Crane at +250, Els at +275, Levin at +220, and Oosthuizen at +275.
